Dr. Michael J. O’Malley is an orthopedic surgeon and is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He earned his medical degree at Temple University School of Medicine and completed a residency at UPMC and fellowship at Rothman Institute. Dr. O’Malley specializes in hip and knee replacement and revision hip and knee reconstruction surgery. He utilizes the direct anterior approach for hip replacement and teaches the technique nationally. Additionally, he uses robotic assistance for partial and total knee replacement and has developed and implemented same-day discharge and rapid recovery protocols following total joint replacement.
