The U.S. Open has a prize purse of $21.5 million this year and has been taking place at the Oakmont Country Club in beautiful Pennsylvania. Currently atop the leaderboard is American golfer Sam Burns at four under par. Burns shot one under par in the third round on Saturday to maintain a one-stroke lead at the top of the leaderboard.
Scheffler missed from 11 feet for birdie on the seventh as well. It's a weird round so far as he's playing OK but just lacking that spark, which given it's the US Open and he's still in striking distance, is odd.
Moving day at Oakmont Country Club saw Sam Burns take a one stroke lead at the U.S. Open. See how Round 3 went with updates and scores.
Burns shot 69 to finish at 4-under-par 206, one shot clear of J.J. Spaun (69) and Adam Scott (67, matching the day's low round with Carlos Ortiz). Viktor Hovland (70) is 1-under and Ortiz is even par.
Live coverage of all four days of the 2025 U.S. Open will be available to watch in Canada via TSN, with coverage spanning the sports network's TSN4 and TSN5 linear channels. You'll also be able to stream all the action via the network's online platform TSN Plus.
