New York Yankees captain Aaron Judge went on the injured list with a flexor strain in his right elbow, but a scan showed no damage to the ulnar collateral ligament of the two-time AL MVP.

TORONTO — Injured Yankees captain Aaron Judge was back in the Yankee Stadium batter’s box late Thursday morning. Judge didn’t take any swings, but he was out there track pitches while rehabbing reliever Mark Leiter Jr., threw a live BP.

The Yankees, who entered Tuesday with a 57-49 record and a 5½-game deficit in the American League East, have attempted to help offset Judge's absence by acquiring two new hitters over the last few days: third baseman Ryan McMahon and utility infielder Amed Rosario.
