As Anthony Santander signs with Blue Jays, impact bats on free-agent market dwindle
Outfielder Anthony Santander, who slugged 44 home runs for the Baltimore Orioles in 2024, agreed to a five-year deal with the Toronto Blue Jays on Monday. That leaves Bregman, the longtime Houston Astros third baseman, as one of two impact bats remaining on the market. The other, first baseman Pete Alonso, wouldn’t be a good fit for the Tigers.
