Pakistan, Jan. 25 -- Record-shattering Novak Djokovic said he was "hanging in there" after becoming the first player to win 400 Grand Slam matches Saturday on his way into the last 16 at the Australian Open.
With his first-round win over Pedro Martinez, Djokovic equaled two all-time tennis records by starting his 21st Australian Open and his 81st Grand Slam event, and he added another milestone with his 100th win at Melbourne Park.
Novak Djokovic has advanced to the Australian Open quarterfinals after Jakub Mensik withdrew from their fourth-round match because of an abdominal injury.
Djokovic narrowly avoided disqualification during his third-round match at the Australian Open.
