Cher is not holding back about her “Mask” director Peter Bogdanovich. In a new interview with The Times UK, Cher, 78, said the late Bogdanovich was one of two directors that she “didn’t like” working with.

Promoting the memoir in an interview with The Times, Cher said there were just two directors she didn’t enjoy working with: Peter Bogdanovich and “the guy from The Muppets”, apparently referring to Frank OZ, known for his work directing The Muppets movies who was hired to direct the 1990 film Mermaids, in which Cher starred.

Cher did tweet in honor of Bogdanovich when he died in 2022. “I’m Proud Of The Film [‘Mask’] We Made Together,” Cher wrote, “& In The End I’m Sure He Must Have Been As Well. He made Some Very Memorable Films,& Discovered amazingly Talented artists.”

Cher has some choice words to describe a director with whom she previously worked. In a sprawling interview with The Times of London, timed to the first-half release of her two-part memoir, she opened up about her childhood and career,
