Chicago and the surrounding areas remain under a cold weather advisory as dangerously below zero wind chills could cause frostbite within 30 minutes of exposure.

While a cold weather advisory continues in parts of the Chicago area for a third day, temperatures are on track to gradually warm-up, the NBC 5 Storm Team said, with highs in the low-to-mid 40s by early next week.

Lows overnight will drop toward zero degrees, and factoring in the brisk winds will make it feel like -15 to -25 degrees outside.
