The 2025 FCS championship semifinals are here, and No. 2 Montana State, No. 3 Montana, No. 12 Villanova and Illinois State still have a chance to lift this year's trophy. Here's what you need to know.

It has been big plays from quarterback Tommy Rittenhouse to receiver Daniel Sobkowicz that has gotten the Redbirds this far and such was the case again in this one. Illinois State opened the scoring with a 53-yard pitch and catch from Rittenhouse to Sobkowicz in the first quarter to make it 7-0 and quiet down the Villanova crowd.

Justin Lamson accounted for four touchdowns, Adam Jones had 131 yards rushing and two TDs, and second-seeded Montana State beat No. 3 seed Montana 48-23 on Saturday in the semifinals of the FCS playoffs.

The Seahawks have two players who played their college football in Montana. They'll be keeping a close eye on their alma maters this weekend in the FCS semifinals.
