Five people are dead and hundreds displaced after a fire at a multistory apartment building in Milwaukee Sunday morning sent residents jumping from their windows for safety.

The five-alarm apartment building fire in Milwaukee is being investigated as arson. A fifth person has died as a result of a fire on May 11 in the Highland Court Apartments on Milwaukee's near west side, Fire Chief Aaron Lipski said.

Four other people were critically injured, and 30 others were rescued after the fire broke out on Sunday morning, the authorities said.
