Habitat for Humanity of Hall County will officially open up the application cycle for its homeownership program on Feb.1.

As officials in Troy seek to expand housing options, Habitat for Humanity is now taking applications for a planned project in the city's North Central neighborhood.

The program helps low-income people and families in the greater Wausau area living in substandard living conditions to potentially become homeowners.

Skagit Habitat for Humanity received $1.1 million from the state to construct 11 affordable homes in La Conner and Anacortes. The funds from the Department of Commerce’s Washington State Housing Trust will go towards the non-profit’s three-home Caledonia Street project in La Conner,
