JERUSALEM (Reuters) -Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Friday that Israel had informed the United States about its plans to attack Iran before carrying them out.

Israel's leader Benjamin Netanyahu has spoken to some world leaders since the country attacked Iran, and is due to have talks with U.S. President Donald Trump, Russia's Vladimir Putin and UK's Keir Starmer.

Following Israeli airstrikes in Iran, Netanyahu initiated diplomatic calls with world leaders. Iran's Supreme Leader appointed new military chiefs after senior commanders were killed, including Mousavi as Chief of Staff.

Benjamin Netanyahu has said for three decades that the central threat to Israel’s existence is Iran’s nuclear program. At least twice over that period, he came within inches of carrying out an attack on it.
