The New York Jets have added Harrison Mevis, late of the UFL's Birmingham Stallions, according to multiple reports. Mevis is known as "The Thiccer Kicker" due to his playing weight of 243 pounds. Mevis was named UFL Special Teams Player of the Week in Week 7,
The "Thiccer Kicker" has returned to the NFL. According to Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team, kicker Harrison Mevis is expected to sign with the New York Jets. The six-foot, 242-pounder spent parts of last spring and summer as a member of the Carolina Panthers.
