From pole position to checkered flag, Kyle Kirkwood won the Long Beach Grand Prix. He led for a total of 46 laps on Sunday and never let Alex Palou overtake him. With the win, he moves into second place in the INDYCAR standings.

It was overcast and humid when the green flag dropped on the Long Beach Grand Prix on Sunday, not exactly ideal conditions for an afternoon drive along the beach. But by the time the sun came out, Kyle Kirkwood had made the race his own,

This was Kirkwood’s third IndyCar victory, all of them coming on street courses; he won in Nashville in 2023. Before heading to the winner’s circle, Kirkwood, who drives for Andretti Global, expressed his delight in a trackside interview.
