A Tennessee man has avoided a trial and a possible death sentence by pleading guilty to fatally shooting three people and wounding three others in a daylong series of shootings livestreamed on social media.

Ezekiel Kelly, the Tennessee man accused of livestreaming a shooting spree that left three dead in 2022, pleaded guilty to more than two dozen charges on Wednesday.

Ezekiel Kelly was facing execution if he were to be convicted at trial. Under the plea deal, he avoids death row in exchange for life without parole.
