In the NFC, five teams have playoff chances that are close to a coin flip depending on this week's outcomes. And each can significantly improve their postseason hopes, according to Next Gen Stats. In the AFC, the Denver Broncos sit alone with a 65% chance. Six other teams have a 88% chance or better.

Detroit opens Thanksgiving weekend against Chicago. Plus, Kansas City and Buffalo can clinch postseason spots with wins and losses by Denver and Miami.

Through the first 12 weeks of the NFL season, we still haven't seen a single team clinch a playoff berth yet, but that could change this week.  Heading into Week 13, the Lions, Bills and Chiefs could all clinch a spot in the postseason if a few things fall into place for them.
