Formula One will return to Portimão in Portugal in 2027 and 2028, the premier motorsport class announced on Tuesday. The Portuguese Grand Prix will replace the race in Zandvoort in the Netherlands, whose contract expires after the coming season.

Portugal is set to rejoin the Formula 1 calendar in 2027 and 2028, replacing the Dutch Grand Prix. The Algarve International Circuit near Portimão returns as host after last featuring in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic.
