The head of one of the largest U.S. teachers' unions said she "felt out of step" with DNC Chair Ken Martin's leadership.

Randi Weingarten told DNC chair Ken Martin, in a letter obtained by several news outlets, that she was declining the offer to be reappointed as an at-large member of the committee, a role she has held since 2002.
