The US on July 17 designated The Resistance Front (TRF) as a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO) and Specially Designated Global Terrorist (SDGT), citing its role in the Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 people, mostly tourists in Kashmir on April 22.

Lieutenant General KJS Dhillon (Retd) on Friday welcomed the decision of the United States to designate Resistance Front (TRF)-an offshoot of Pakistan based terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) that initially claimed responsibility for the April 22 terror attack that killed 26 people as a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO) and Specially Designated Global Terrorist (SDGT).
