Sumner-born ‘Days of our Lives’ and ‘Dynasty’ star dies in California

The Sumner native died Friday at age 77 from Alzheimer’s Disease at the Motion Picture and Television Woodland Hills Home in Southern California, according to his publicist. According to his wife, Lynn Herring Northrop, the actor was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s about six years ago.
