President Donald Trump's top officials are meeting with a team of Ukrainian negotiators. Trump has been trying to broker an end to Russia's war in Ukraine since he took office.

Several congressional Republicans are harshly criticizing President Donald Trump's White House over its handling of a proposed Ukraine peace plan they say favors Russia.

"The enemy attack on Kyiv is ongoing," Kyiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov said in a post to Telegram early Tuesday local time.

The latest assault on Kyiv came as Ukrainian peace negotiators are due to meet their U.S. counterparts this weekend.
