A tradition spanning over nine decades, the annual Christmas in Rockefeller Center tree lighting special will air Wednesday, Dec. 3, on NBC. Reba McEntire will, for the first time, will host the annual two-hour holiday affair.

The event, which is free and open to the public, will once again feature dazzling ice-skating performances, surprise guests and plenty of holiday sparkle. Last year’s lineup included Olympic skaters and live music, and though Bryant Park is keeping this year’s host under wraps for now, they promise it’ll be “not-to-be-missed.”

The 2025 National Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony will be exclusively aired by Great American Media, the Arlington-based media company said Thursday. In recent years, the ceremony was broadcast by CBS and the Hallmark Channel.

According to Downtown Cleveland, Inc., the event will feature an expanded schedule this year, with activities beginning at noon and running throughout the day.
