In some ways it’s a sick irony – the juxtaposition of Trump being inaugurated on Monday, the same day we celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. King was a champion for civil and human rights.

In 1983, about 20 years after King’s “I Have a Dream” speech, legislation for a Martin Luther King Jr. Day on the third Monday of January cleared Congress and President Ronald Reagan signed it.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr’s dream today is made up of the proverbial 12th man, people from all walks of life who made his dream transcend generations.
