Europe’s leaders condemned Donald Trump’s threat to impose tariffs over their opposition to his Greenland plans, as Italy’s Giorgia Meloni warned the US leader he is making a “mistake”.

The US president yesterday announced he plans to impose 10% tariffs on eight Nato members until "such time as a Deal is reached for the Complete and Total purchase of Greenland"
