Mike Tomlin defended George Pickens on the Hail Mary at the end of the loss to the Browns, saying the Browns prevented him from going up for the ball.

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver George Pickens avoided any fines in his altercation with Cleveland Browns defensive back Greg Newsome on the final play of the team’s 24-19 loss last Thursday. Instead, Pickens and Newsome each did not get fined for the melee, and the NFL review found no wrongdoing.

Both players from the Browns and Steelers received fines on Saturday from the Week 12 game in Cleveland. None were George Pickens nor Greg Newsome II.
