Kansas City Chiefs cornerback Jaylen Watson was placed in the concussion protocol and backup safety Deon Bush was lost for the season to a ruptured Achilles tendon sustained during their first preseason game Saturday night.

When Chiefs safety Deon Bush left the team's first preseason game with an Achilles injury, the obvious concern was that he suffered a season-ending tear of the tendon.

The Kansas City Chiefs did not get out of their opening game of the preseason against the Arizona Cardinals unscathed. In the first quarter, cornerback Jaylen Watson was pulled off the field and placed in the concussion protocol.
