Cubs agree to multiyear contract extension with president of baseball operations Jed Hoyer
He and the Cubs have agreed to a multiyear contract extension, according to a team source. Hoyer was in the fifth and final year of his contract, after taking over the top position in baseball operations as his predecessor Theo Epstein stepped down following the 2020 season. Hoyer is in his 14th season in the Cubs front office.
