Ever since LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers were unable to agree on a contract extension, it seems like The King's days in Hollywood are numbered. If he demands a trade or agrees to a buyout, the Cleveland Cavaliers and Dallas Mavericks seem to be the two most realistic landing spots.
It isn't likely that the Los Angeles Lakers will move on from LeBron James. However, if they do, the Dallas Mavericks will be one of the teams interested. If it comes down to a trade, however, the Mavericks might not be as inclined to get something done.
LeBron James' future with the Los Angeles Lakers remains murky. Although he opted into the final year of his contract, every message his agent has put out there makes it seem like they don't want to be there, and they'd be keeping an eye on the moves the Lakers made to see if it aligns with an opportunity to win now.
