Taking a look at Notre Dame's 2025 opponent transfer portal additions and departures ahead of summer workouts and fall camp

While many who don't respect the Irish are quick to point out, often inaccurately, that Notre Dame "doesn't play anybody," the upcoming series the Irish have set up paints a very different picture. According to On3, Notre Dame is involved in four of the top ten series coming up.

Notre Dame is at Miami (Florida) in Week 1 of the 2025 college football season, and the tilt between the Fighting Irish and the Hurricanes will be an ABC broadcast. The Saturday, Aug. 31 game will kick off at 7:30 p.m. Eastern and is part of a slew of Week 0 and Week 1 games that will be shown on ESPN or ABC.

Notre Dame will host defensive lineman Marcus Almada for an official visit in June. Almada, who is playing his high-school football at Marion (Mass.) Tabor Academy, will be in South Bend to visit with the Fighting Irish on June 13. He has already visited UCLA and Oklahoma State and has more on the docket, including Kentucky and Syracuse.
