According to Sterling Heights Police Cpt. Mario Bastianelli, officers responded to a 911 call at 4:30 p.m. Saturday reporting a man with a handgun and possibly hallucinating inside the plant. Officers arrived on the scene and were able to locate the man in the center of the plant and contain him in a small area.

An armed man is in custody, according to Stellantis, after police said he barricaded himself inside the automaker's assembly plant in Sterling Heights.
