CHICAGO -- Subway is giving away free sandwiches next week. For the first time in 60 years, the chain is launching a new menu, CNN reported.

Subway's latest menu item is crunchy, cheesy and 12 inches: Doritos Footlong Nachos. The new addition is a limited-time option and combine the chips people know with the Subway toppings fans love.

You can now score sandwich savings by the foot. On Aug. 23, Subway announced a new deal: Starting Aug. 26 through Sept. 8, customers can order any footlong sub on Subway’s menu for $6.99.

On Dec. 4, select Subway restaurants are being transformed into "Cookieway," and will be offering a free footlong cookie with the purchase of any footlong sub sandwich.

Subway began overhauling its menu in 2021, adding new ingredients and bread. The privately-held company, which is up for sale, has added meat slicers to 20,000 stores.
