Country superstar Carrie Underwood is relying on old pal Ryan Seacrest to help her adjust to her new role ahead of American Idol debut.

Four Arizonans will compete on "American Idol" Season 23. It premieres on March 9 with Ryan Seacrest, Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie.

The country star is experiencing a full-circle moment, joining Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie on the judging panel for the 23rd season of the show.

A former "American Idol" star and country music singer has been arrested in Tennessee. Colin Stough, who appeared on the reality singing show before starting a country music career, was reportedly arrested over the weekend.

Ryan Seacrest has reportedly taken Carrie Underwood “under his wing,” a source for OK! magazine said, as she prepares for her big full-circle moment on American Idol, and he’s apparently asked her fellow judges Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie to do the same. The insider said:

As previously announced, Emmy® Award-winning television host, writer, producer and comedian Conan O'Brien will host "The Oscars," which will air live coast to coast SUNDAY, MARCH 2 (7:00-10:30 p.m. EST/4:00-7:30 p.m. PST), on ABC. The telecast will also be rebroadcast in the Pacific Time zone in primetime after the live presentation.
