A 50% reciprocal trade tariff on Lesotho, the highest levy on U.S. President Donald Trump's long list of target economies, will kill the tiny Southern African kingdom that Trump ridiculed last month,

Trump has announced a minimum of 10% tariff on all imports to the US and additional "reciprocal tariffs" for dozens of African countries, including 30% for South Africa. Other African countries hit with extra tariffs include 50% for Lesotho, 47% for Madagascar, 40% for Mauritius and 37% for Botswana.
