The Pittsburgh Pirates defeated the Chicago Cubs 2-1 in 10 innings on Friday afternoon at Wrigley Field. Paul Skenes took a no-decision after throwing 5.0-shutout innings and Isiah Kiner-Falefa drove in the game-winning run on a sac fly in the top of the 10th.

While both teams have trended towards the Under across their last 10 games, a larger sample size suggests the Cubs are a run machine. The hosts sit second in the majors with 382 runs, and only the Los Angeles Dodgers and Boston Red Sox have served up more hits.

The Chicago Cubs are off to a blazing start after 70 games. Their 42-28 record is just five games off the pace set by the 2016 Cubs team that went on to win 103 regular season games, followed by their first World Series victory since 1908.

Mike Burrows held the Cubs to one run in 5.1 innings, but the Pirates’ offense couldn’t do much of anything in the loss.
