The NWS Fort Worth TX issued a weather alert at 5:45 a.m. on Friday for strong thunderstorms until 6:30 a.m. The alert is for Collin, Grayson, Fannin, Lamar, Hunt, Delta and Hopkins counties.

A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for parts of North Texas Wednesday morning. A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for Collin, Denton, Grayson and Cooke counties until 7 a.m. Wednesday and a severe thunderstorm warning is in effect for Denton County until 5:30 a.m.

We will be watching for another complex to develop late Friday night into Saturday morning in our northwest areas and along the Red River.
