Liverpool have reportedly contacted the representatives of Real Madrid star Rodrygo ahead of a potential transfer. ESPN Brazil say that personal terms have now been agreed, with Liverpool sat on a pot of money following the decision not to move forward on Alexander Isak.

By the end of June, the Reds had wrapped up a club-record £116million deal for Florian Wirtz, secured Jeremie Frimpong as a replacement for Trent Alexander-Arnold, and signed Milos Kerkez for £40m.

Liverpool are expected to return with an improved offer as they look to bring in a marquee attacking player before the transfer window closes.
