President Donald Trump said Saturday that he would impose a new 10% tariff on Denmark and seven other European countries until “a Deal is reached for the Complete and Total purchase of Greenland.”

BERLIN — Europeans were reeling Sunday from U.S. President Donald Trump’s announcement that eight countries will face 10 per cent tariff for opposing American control of Greenland.

Brzeski said he expects the increased tariffs to shave off a quarter percentage point off European gross domestic product this year.
