IPL franchise Lucknow Super Giants has named Rishabh Pant as its captain ahead of 2025 season, the team's principal owner Sanjiv Goenka said on Monday.

"I think Rishabh Pant is going to finish as one of the best IPL captains ever. In 10-12 years time, you would hear his name associated with MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma," Goenka said.

Rishabh Pant has been appointed as the new captain of the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Lucknow Super Giants. The announcement was made during a special media interaction on Monday.
