NOLENSVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Middle Tennessee will find out Saturday afternoon if the Nolensville Little League team will claim the title of USA Champions in the Little League World Series.

Nolensville turned in a series of dominant performances on its way to a third straight Southeast Region title. On Aug. 3, Nolensville kicked things off with a 10-0 shutout of Alabama (Rainbow City).

With Goodlettsville making the Little League World Series in 2012 and 2016 this is actually the fifth time a mid-state team has reached the big stage in the past nine years.

Nolensville will attempt to make it beyond the first round of the Little League World Series for just the second time. In 2013, they reached round three before falling to Washington 6-5.
