Hulu’s latest sci-fi thriller, which has earned an impressive rating on Rotten Tomatoes, is taking over streaming charts. The streamer premiered the first two episodes of Alien: Earth this week, and the show has soared to the top spot on both Hulu in America and Disney+ globally.

The series by creator Noah Hawley is described as a spin-off to the original Ridley Scott-directed film, " Alien ," from 1979. The film follows a space crew aboard the starship, Nostromo, who are on their journey back home when they receive a distress call from an alien vessel.
Proof of the franchise's popularity is the brand new Alien: Earth series, which is now streaming on Disney+ (or Hulu in the USA), which Scott chaired as Executive Producer, rather than Director.
