Motorcyclist hit by train in attempt to evade police in Roanoke, officials say
ROANOKE, Va. (WSET) — A man was hit by a train in an attempt to get away from police Tuesday, according to officials. Around 1:30 p.m., Virginia State Police attempted to stop the driver of a Honda motorcycle on Campbell Avenue in the City of Roanoke. Officials say the reason for the attempted stop was failure to wear a helmet.
