The St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office say as of Tuesday afternoon “approximately 140 structures that have been destroyed” in the Camp House Fire. The has spread to more than 12,000 acres. The Road closure on Hwy 44 from Rollins Road (Hugo’s bar) to Townline Road is still in effect.
The Camp House Fire near Brimson has grown to 750 acres as of Monday morning. It was zero-percent contained as crews worked on the ground and from the air to douse the flames. Meanwhile, another large wildfire started Monday just a few miles away.
Another warm and dry day is expected in northern Minnesota, but wetter weather is possible on Thursday. More than 140 buildings have been destroyed and 20,000 acres of forest burned by a trio of wildfires that continue to rage in northern Minnesota.
