After the recent mass shooting downtown, some believe the Summer Celebration is the perfect way to refocus and uplift the community.

This comes after a mass shooting last weekend that killed two and injured five. IMPD and Indiana State Police will have an increased presence downtown this weekend.

IMPD Chief Chris Bailey appeared in a video post Friday afternoon on X, once again calling for parents to step up.
