Two senior Ukrainian officials say a Kyiv delegation that will meet with America’s top diplomat in Saudi Arabia will propose a ceasefire with Russia covering the Black Sea and long-range missile strikes.

In Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, the United States and Ukraine initiated steps to secure lasting peace in Ukraine. An immediate 30-day ceasefire proposal is on the table, subject to Russia's acceptance. Both nations also plan economic collaborations and stress humanitarian efforts in the peace process.
