If a player guesses a letter that is in the correct place, that tile will turn green. If a player guesses a letter that appears in the word but is not in the spot, it will turn yellow. Lastly, if the letter does not appear in the word at all, then the tile will turn gray.

Wordle is a word puzzle that gives players six chances to guess a five-letter word. Originally created by software engineer Josh Wardle and released to the public in 2021, the puzzle was acquired by The New York Times in 2022 after rising to huge popularity.
