Joshua Jones, 37, entered guilty pleas on two counts of second-degree murder Wednesday, according to the Hennepin County Attorney's Office.

A man accused of killing two people and shooting at three others near three separate homeless encampments across Minneapolis last year is now facing more than three decades in prison.

Two people are confirmed dead stemming from a domestic-related shooting early Tuesday in south Minneapolis. Minneapolis police released few details about what happened in the 100 block of E. 59th Street just after 12:30 a.m. In addition to the two fatalities, one person was hit by gunfire and injured, police said.

Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara has announced that a 16-year-old male has been arrested for the murder of 11-year-old Amir Lamar Atkins nearly a month after Atkins was killed in Folwell Park on the city’s north side.

Moments after being pulled over on Tuesday night, Hennepin County deputies say a driver appears to have used a gun to take his own life.
