Israeli settlers attacked a CNN news crew over the weekend as it traveled to the Palestinian town of Sinjil in the West Bank to report on the death of a US citizen, according to the network’s Jerusalem-based correspondent Jeremy Diamond.

According to family, the 20-year-old was spending time with loved ones in the Israeli-occupied West Bank when he was beaten to death.

The family of 20-year-old U.S. citizen Sayfollah Musallet is being joined by a number of advocacy groups in demanding a full U.S.-led investigation into the young man’s fatal beating by Israeli settlers in the West Bank last week — and pushing back against the corporate media’s characterization of the brutal attack.
