Oct 19, 2023 · Would be dreamworld nice if the huge success of BG3 gets MS to want to invest in their own big turn-based CRPG and they let Sawyer and Obsidian do it with a huge budget. Though I don't really get the point of Pillars 3 given that Pillars 2 pretty definitively ended the franchise story-wise and I really liked Pillars.

If Josh Sawyer wanted, he could have an army of developers and unlimited resources working on whatever game he proposed to Microsoft. If Microsoft only relied on game sales, they wouldn't have allowed a game like Pentiment, which probably won't sell too well.
