Dec 11, 2021 · Adidas is just way cooler. I don't understand why Nike has such a hype, especially in USA. Adidas' designs and materials are amazing, and their clothing is made for sport but still has amazing style. Their clothing has so much character, and their collaborations are superb.
Between Nike and Adidas, which brand do you prefer and why?
30 votes, 98 comments. true. Same boat here. Racing wise, I used to be a Nike guy, but the Prime X Strung is such a fantastic shoe, and the Adios Pro 3, despite the upper (which is not up to the shoe), it's so well balanced, stable and bouncy.

(Adidas has arguably fallen behind a bit in recent years by focusing more on running shoes that appeal to sneaker collectors, but that’s another story...) Having said that, you got to prioritize your goals and pick your shoes accordingly and in my experience Nike and Adidas are both shit for actual running performance. I’m 6’2 235lbs so I need good impact protection. I did some research and went with saucony triumph, no issues at all for me.

Assuming we’re talking aesthetics, I think Nike has the best design language. Those pink and orange Vaporfly 3 are so lovely (seems like they were everywhere too.) Quality-wise, I think Adidas has the better quality across their entire suite of shoes. However, Nike’s VF and AF still seem like they’re the standard to be compared against.

Feb 5, 2022 · Adidas wise they have a lot of offerings but the Boost is a bust and the stuff with no tech is unremarkable. The Bounce slides are AMAZING, versatile too for gym or beach (not as true of the old fit foam ones that weren't really apt for water). One that I doubt gets mentioned is the Peak TaiChi slide.
