Getting the dorsal fin details for an ID database using drone imaging is actually pretty possible using high end optics. For now on, I'll be logging and cataloging every shark I see in Southern California. I've seen the same individuals across the coast now using only scars and identifying markers, but an actual dorsal fin catalog seems like a no brainer. Especially because I see sharks daily.
