Gateway Program series, Part 7. The biggest red and white crane out in the Hudson here is Weeks 526, a floating crane barge run by Weeks Marine. It is parked off Midtown on the New York side, helping get the riverbed ready for the future Gateway rail tunnel. The tunnel boring machines will start in North Bergen, bore through rock under the Palisades, then reach this shallow stretch near Manhattan where the bottom is mostly soft mud. To keep the tunnel safe, crews first need to turn a long strip
